According to Google,
USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) is a Global System for Mobile(GSM) communication technology that is used to send text between a mobile phone and an application program in the network. 

Listed below are the USSD codes of some banks in Nigeria:


WEMA Bank:
To transfer money, just dial *322*035*ACCOUNT NO*AMOUNT# with the mobile number registered with the bank.



Fidelity Bank:
To transfer money from Fidelity bank account to another bank account, simply dial this *770* ACCOUNT NO * AMOUNT#
Example; if you want to transfer N1000 to someone’s Firstbank account, dial *770*1234567890*1000# from the mobile number registered/linked with your Fidelity Bank account.
Enter your transfer PIN to confirm transfer. The recipient account number will be shown to you before you enter the your PIN. This lets you verify that you’re not sending money to a wrong account.

If you are new on the USSD portal of Fidelity Bank, you will be requested to register. You can dial *770#, Enter your NUBAN Account number (Fidelity bank account number), Select a 4-digit PIN for your account.

Transfer per transaction is N10,000. Maximum transfer per day is N20,000

 

GTBank:
To initiate transfers to a GTBank account, dial *737*1*AMOUNT* ACCOUNT NO # e.g. *737*1*1000*1234567890# from the mobile number registered with the Bank.

For transfers money to beneficiaries in other Bank’s, simply dial *737*2* AMOUNT* ACCOUNT NO#
Customers will then require the last four digits of their GTBank Naira MasterCard to authenticate each transaction.


 

FIRST Bank:
To transfer money, simply dial *894# and select 1


 

Zenith Bank:
To transfer money to another account dial *966*Amount*Account Number#  from the phone number you registered with Zenith Bank, then follow the on-screen prompts.


 

Diamond Bank:
For Diamond Bank Y’ello account holders, to Transfer money to any bank Dial *710*777*ACCOUNT NO*AMOUNT*PIN#.
For Diamond Y’ello to Diamond Y’ello Transfers Dial *710*710*PHONE NO*AMOUNT*PIN#

 


Ecobank:
Dial *326# to get started



 

First City Monument Bank (FCMB):

To transfer money from your FCMB account *389*214#
Unity Bank:
To transfer money simply dial *389*215# to get started

 


Skye Bank:
To transfer money simply dial *833# to get started

 


Sterling Bank:
To transfer funds just dial *822# on the phone number linked to your sterling bank account and follow the prompts accordingly.

Note that N5 will be deducted from your airtime balance every time you dial the sterling bank ussd code on your phone.
A PIN will also be required to complete transactions via the ussd code. You will get the pin when you register for the Sterling bank *822# service.

 

BE INFORMED: while most banks will charge you #100 to process your GOtv, DStv and Startimes subscriptions, Xpino Media Network charges #70 only
